With each of these strategies, you should first determine what the firm is currently doing in that area. For example, is the firm currently pursuing a low-cost or differentiation strategy? What are its sources of differentiation? Is the firm diversified? Does it rely on any important strategic alliances? Etc.
You should then develop a recommendation based on at least two strategies from each of these categories (six total strategies). Your recommendation should be some change or enhancement to what the firm is already doing in that area. You will then evaluate your recommendation based on the following criteria:
To what degree will the recommendation directly address the strategic issue? (Use logic and data to support your answer.)
Is the recommendation appropriate, given the firms current strategy and the characteristics of the recommendation? (Use information from the textbook about when each strategy is appropriate to support your answer).
After trying on each of these recommendations (you will have six in total, each worth 10 points), you will select the one that is most compelling, based on your evaluation above, to present as the recommendation for the final presentation. You should clearly identify and defend this selection in your deliverable (10 points).
